The Virgin Islands is currently under a hurricane watch in association with Tropical Storm Ernesto, which means that hurricane conditions are possible in our area within the next 12 hours.

The public is advised that the Customer Service Care Centre is currently experiencing electrical shortages, which is affecting all incoming and outgoing calls to 284-468-3701.

Persons are encouraged to contact the centre via WhatsApp, using 284-468-9760 while teams are working to restore this number.

The public is advised that remedial works will commence on the Old Administration Building on Main Street on Monday, August 12. These works will continue until October 31.        Motorists and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution when traversing the area.

The House of Assembly will pause at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, to join the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs, and Sports in honouring Kyron McMaster's Olympic medal pursuit.

The Department of Immigration is advising the public that due to technical challenges beyond its control which have created security concerns, the Jost Van Dyke Ferry Terminal will be temporarily closed to international clearance from today August 6.  All vessels destined for Jost Van Dyke should first clear at the West End Ferry Terminal until the issues have been rectified and services resume.
