Director of the Teacher Development and Support Branch in the Los Angeles Unified School District, Ms. Peggy Taylor Presley and President of the Blue World Travel Corp in San Francisco, California,  Ms. Patricia Nicholson Yarbrough are pictured as they donated  approximately 1000 new children’s books on their arrival to Tortola on Tuesday, July 23.  Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley accepted the books on behalf of the ministry. The presentation was made at the Tortola Pier Park and was made possible through the Festival at Sea Cruise ship and Blue World Travel Agency.

The Blue World Travel Agency operates one of the oldest running African American Themed cruises in the United States.  Each year they invite their passengers to donate books to their Annual Children’s Book Drive to donate to countries they visit.  (Photo credit: Franklyn Skerritt/GIS)
