Press Release

BVI Post
Release Date:
Friday, 19 February 2016 - 9:00am

The BVI Post is hosting a Food Drive in support of families that are dependent on the Family Support Network.

The initiative was launched on February 16 and concludes on March 9.

Postmaster General, Ms. Pascha Stoutt said that BVI Post wanted to assist these families after learning that some families take home as little as $50 a week after expenses.

Members of the community are encouraged to support the BVI Post and the Family Support Network by donating perishable and non- perishable food items.

Ms. Stoutt said that perishable items should only be dropped off at the General Post Office located at the Maduro Building, in Road Town. She added that monetary donations will not be accepted. Food collection boxes will be placed at all post office locations throughout the Territory.

The BVI Post will present the collected food items to the Family Support Network on Friday, March 10.

For more information about the BVI Post’s Food Drive contact the BVI Post at 468-4187 or 5160.
