The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has launched a survey to garner feedback from the public on the recent emancipation festival celebrations.

This year’s festival was celebrated from July 24 to August 5, with main events in Road Town, Carrot Bay and East End.

Director Mr. Raymond Phillips said the ultimate objective of the survey is to make the decision makers aware of some of the public's sentiments of the celebrations with a view to actions towards improvement.

Mr. Phillips said the survey will be opened for one month and is encouraging the public to provide their honest feedback. He added that all aggregated results from the survey would be publicised.

The director further stated that the conduct of surveys forms part of the remit of the statistics office and are conducted upon request from other departments or as deemed necessary.

The survey can be filled out online, via this link: https://forms.gle/zbpznMwVNWAa7n9c7.

The mission of the Central Statistics Office is to inform and facilitate the socio-economic development process in the Virgin Islands through the provision of timely and accurate statistical information.
