Release Date:
Thursday, 25 October 2018 - 12:11pm

Deputy Governor Mr. David D. Archer, Jr. recently met with public officers interested in the re-establishment of the Public Service Association.

The Deputy Governor was pleased by the representation in attendance as well as the concerns raised.  Mr. Archer shared that the association should be professionally multifaceted in its composition which is vital for the Public Service Transformation.

In support of the re-establishment of the Public Service Association, Mr. Archer Jr. stated “Any thriving, growing and transforming organisation must have a body such as this to ensure a partnership between management and public officers.  I welcome this opportunity.”

At the October 15 meeting, Mr. Archer Jr. and public officers present discussed areas of interest which included accommodations, communication, inclusion and Public Service transformation.

The Public Service Association has not yet formally been re-established, however, the Deputy Governor enthusiastically awaits its re-establishment and said, “I anticipate the formal re-establishment of the Public Service Association and pledge my commitment to the body and its participation in advancing towards a World Class Public Service with public officers as its most valued assets.”
