HOLIDAY MESSAGE 2016 BY
MEMBER FOR THE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY
REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE SECOND ELECTORAL DISTRICT
HONOURABLE MELVIN “MITCH” TURNBULL

Greetings to the wonderful people of the Virgin Islands, It’s that time of the year again where we celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ and do as he instructed which is to spread love to one and all.

I am Melvin Mitch Turnbull, Representative for the Second Electoral District and I’m honored to extent Season’s Greetings to you on behalf of my family and the Second District Community.

As the year is quickly coming to an end, persons are busy preparing to meet deadlines and make plans for gifts for their families and some may even be putting together new year’s resolutions. I pause to take a moment to reflect on 2016. I can’t help but take a minute to give God the thanks and praise for His many blessings and mercies that are new every morning. Thank you Lord for remaining faithful while we are sometimes faithless, and for Your continued protection and provision for the people of the Virgin Islands.

I remain humbled and privileged to be awarded the mammoth task of being the representative for the people of the Second District. We have begun a good work and I will continue to do my best to move District 2 forward.

I take the time to remember persons and families in my district, their families and those in the wider Virgin Islands community who have lost loved ones during the year. I extend my sincerest sympathies and prayers for strength and peace to be your comfort as you remember your loved ones. I know it wouldn’t be the same, but I remain confident through our belief in God, and the love that still flows through our veins as Virgin Islanders, we will make it through our most difficult and trying times together.

Season’s Greetings is also extended to those persons in the Adina Donovan Home, Peebles Hospital, Rainbow Children’s Home, Safe Haven, and at Her Majesty’s Prison. Let us also remember the people all around the world who too have been through and continue to go through times of difficulty.

Again, to you the people of the second district, my senior citizens, students of the Jost Van Dyke Primary, Enis Adams, Ivan Dawson, Agape Total Life Academy and Monteseuri School, my family and I wish you a very merry Christmas 2016 and a most bountiful New Year for 2017.

God Bless you all and May God continue to Bless our Home Our Country these beautiful Virgin Islands.
