Property owners who have outstanding property tax payments are being urged to settle these arrears during the property tax amnesty granted by Government.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE granted the amnesty which will end December 31.

Commissioner of the Inland Revenue Department, Mrs. Karen Smith-Aaron said

the interests and penalties will be waived for property owners who have outstanding property tax payments. 

Property owners on Tortola and other locations within the Territory may make enquiries and submit payments at the Inland Revenue Department's main office located at the Central Administration Building, Road Town Tortola, during regular office hours.  Property owners on Anegada and Jost Van Dyke may submit payments via the District Officer located on each island during regular office hours.  

Property owners on Virgin Gorda may make enquiries and submit payments to the Inland Revenue Department's branch office located at the Vanterpool Administration Building in the Valley, Virgin Gorda during regular office hours.

Additionally, the Inland Revenue Department is currently promoting an education campaign and is encouraging the Virgin Islands community to participate. Residents are being educated on the various taxes, licences and fees and the importance of paying, as well as the services offered by the department.
