Property owners in the Virgin Islands are reminded that property tax for the year 2021 is due and payable September 1 to November 30 in accordance with the Property Tax Ordinance, Cap 207 (as amended).

The Property Tax list includes the name(s) of proprietor(s), property description, and the amount of tax due. The list also is comprised of registration sections and can be viewed at various public buildings throughout the Territory, the Inland Revenue Department offices on Tortola and Virgin Gorda, in addition to the District Offices on Anegada and Jost Van Dyke.

Property owners are encouraged to pay their 2021 Property Tax to avoid interest being charged at twenty (20) per cent per annum. Owners should also pay or arrange a payment schedule with the Inland Revenue Department to liquidate any outstanding property tax payments. Legal transactions are not processed for “Stamp Duty” purposes unless the tax relating to the parcel is paid.
