The public is asked to note that the Territory-wide fogging campaign which started on Beef Island continues from the Queen Elizabeth Bridge through Pasea Estate and is expected to be completed by Monday, August 28.  Road Town and Cane Garden Bay will be fogged concurrently, while fogging on Anegada is expected to be completed tonight.

Fogging is done between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m., and some mornings from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m. until all areas are completed. Persons with respiratory illnesses, particularly asthmatics, should leave the areas being fogged for at least an hour.

Residents are reminded that fogging will provide only temporary relief from mosquitoes. Householders and property owners are asked to be vigilant in preventing mosquitoes from breeding in stagnant water around their homes and businesses by conducting weekly inspections.

For further information on how to control the Aedes aegypti mosquito, please telephone the Vector Control Unit of the Environmental Health Division at 468.5110.
