Water and Sewerage
Release Date:
Friday, 3 November 2023 - 10:13pm

The Water and Sewerage Department is advising all customers between Bellevue and East End that they may be experiencing discoloured water as a result of ongoing maintenance repairs and sedimentation build-up. Customers are advised that sediments are undesirable not because they pose health concerns but they can degrade the quality of water by affecting its taste, clarity and colour.

The Department at this time is requesting that consumers open all faucets, garden hoses, and other appliances that provide the home or establishment with potable water and run them until clear water is visible. If running the water does not clear the problem within ten (10) minutes, residents are encouraged to notify the Water and Sewerage Department, and a work crew will be dispatched to provide further assistance.

For conservation purposes, the water may be saved for watering plants with no harmful effects.

The water and Sewerage Department apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and for your patience and understanding during this time.
