The Government of the Virgin Islands is advising all British Virgin Islands Reporting Financial Institutions that the FATCA deadlines for the United Kingdom and United States of America have been extended.

The Environmental Health Division is notifying the public that service dogs are now allowed at food establishments.
Chief Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Carnel Smith said a review was done on a decision taken by the department, to restrict the harboring of pets in all food establishments. He said the division has since made the decision to allow service dogs to accompany the disabled master to restaurants in the Territory.
BVI Finance has announced that the BVI Financial Services Commission has introduced the Incubator Fund and the Approved Fund to further establish the Territory’s reputation as a flexible, innovative and cost-effective jurisdiction for new fund launches.

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) will host the 40th Annual Conference of the Caribbean, Americas and the Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
Forty-two candidates have been nominated to contest the 2015 General Elections to be held in the Virgin Islands on June 8.
A full slate of 13 candidates from both the ruling National Democratic Party, and the main opposition party, the Virgin Islands Party, were nominated in addition to five members from the People’s Empowerment Party. Three candidates were nominated from the People’s Progressive Coalition.
Leonora Delville Primary School was named the winner of the 2015 Inter-Primary Spanish Bowl Competition held at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall on May 20.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE has announced that the BVI is an arbitration jurisdiction, and is open for business following the International Arbitration Conference.
