St. Lucian national Mr. Verne Garde has been appointed to the post of Superintendent of Prison at Her Majesty’s Prison.

The Government of the Virgin Islands’ Cabinet, has approved the appointment of Mr. Jerome Rubin-Delanchy as the newest member of the Non-Profit Organisations Board.

Twenty-one persons are now British citizens after having been previously naturalised as British Overseas Territories citizens.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Dr. the Honourable Kedrick Pickering and United Kingdom Overseas Territories Minister, Lord Ahmad held a bilateral meeting on 12 June in which they discussed preparations for the 2018 hurricane season, recovery of the British Virgin Islands and public registers of beneficial ownership.

Retired Deputy Governor, Mrs. Rosalie Adams; Director of the Department for Disaster Management, Ms. Sharleen Da Breo and former public servant Mr. Elihu Rhymer have been awarded Honours in the Queen’s 2018 Birthday Honours List.
