Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley has assigned ministerial responsibilities to Ministers to constitute the Cabinet of the Virgin Islands.

Premier and Minister of Culture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley, Junior Minister for Culture Honourable, Alvera Maduro-Caines, and the Director of Culture Dr. Katherine Smith are featured at public consultation meetings held on the Department of Culture’s policy and strategy. 

Deputy Governor, Mr. David Archer, Jr. will act in the Office of Governor from February 18 to 26 in the absence of His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John J. Rankin CMG who will be out of the Territory.

His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John Rankin CMG acting in accordance with the advice of the Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley, has prorogued the House of Assembly effective Friday, December 30 until such a time a new session is appointed.

The Constitutional Review Commission invites the public to participate in a series of community meetings, to learn more about the Virgin Islands Constitution and to contribute to the review of the Constitution. 

The Constitutional Review Commission is pleased to advise that it will be hosting a community meeting at the West End Community Centre on Wednesday 9th November at 6:00 p.m. 

The Constitutional Review Commission will commence public consultation on 1st November, 2022.

International expert on Governance Dr. Carlyle Corbin will make an official presentation of the independent Self-Governance Assessment of the Virgin Islands in an interview today.

Deputy Premier Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley has welcomed the conclusions and recommendations of the United Nations (UN) Committee of 24’s (C-24) regional seminar on decolonisation held in St. John’s Dominica from 25^th – 27^th August 2021, which he attended on behalf of Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie.
