Young persons between the ages of 10 and 20 years old are encouraged to begin submitting applications for the 2017 Virgin Islands Emerging Fellow Awards.
It was a proud day for staff and students of the Willard Wheatley Primary School (WWPS) after the great grandson of the late legislator Honourable Willard Wheatley, Mr. Khaaliq Pickering, cut the ribbon to open the school’s new administration building.
Grade 12 students of the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) are hosting their very first ‘Introductory Night’ to commemorate the implementation of the first Grade 12 in the Territory’s public schools.
Students, parents or guardians of students attending the Elmore Stoutt High School, and other community members are invited to participate in the school’s Cultural Extravaganza on Friday, February 17, 2017.
Established by UNESCO in 2001, World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated worldwide in November each year. It offers an opportunity to demonstrate to the wider public why science is relevant to our daily lives, and to draw attention to the ways in which science and technology can help to protect the environment and improve the quality of life for all.

The BVI’s young scientists are once again competing for top prizes at this Friday’s observance of UNESCO’s World Science Day for Peace and Development.
The Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies inducted its first Student Government on Thursday, November 3, 2016 during its Student Achievement Awards Ceremony at the New Testament Church of God.
