Following the elections held in the Territory on Monday 24 April 2023, the Governor has today received a letter from the elected members of the Virgin Islands Party, together with Mrs. Lorna Smith OBE, elected At Large Representative, that declares their support for the appointment of Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley as Premier of the Virgin Islands and for him to form the Government of the Virgin Islands in accordance with Section 52 of the VI Constitution Order, 2007.

International Election Observers Arrive In BVI

A team of international election observers has arrived in BVI to observe next week’s General Election. The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association British Islands and Mediterranean Region (CPA BIMR) Mission consists of a range of international observers, including from the Gambia, Gibraltar and Anguilla and will be in BVI from 16- 26 April.

Advance Polling Cards Available For Pick Up

Persons who submitted applications to vote on Advance Polling Day 2023 are advised to visit the Office of the Supervisor of Elections to collect their Advance Polling Cards. Card collection is between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday, April 17 through Wednesday April 19.
