The Immigration Department is advising the Virgin Gorda community that the Administration Processing Unit of the Virgin Gorda Immigration Office has resumed its services to the public, today Monday, November 28.

The Immigration Department is advising the Virgin Gorda community that the Virgin Gorda Immigration Office is closed for the rest of today Friday, November 25 due to operational issues beyond their control.

The public is reminded that starting Thursday September 1, persons who have been working in the British Virgin Islands for five years will no longer be required to leave the Territory during the transitioning process when changing employers. 

The public is reminded that the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Visa Exemption Programme will go into effect from Thursday, September 1.

Mrs. Geraldine Ritter-Freeman has been appointed to act as Chief Immigration Officer for a period of one year.

The Immigration Department is advising the public that the office is temporarily closed until 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, August 4.
