Deputy Premier and Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone reported that there are no active cases of COVID-19 in the British Virgin Islands.

Dog owners are to ensure that their pets are always leashed to ensure the safety and peace of mind of beach goers as dogs are allowed on the Territory’s beaches between 6:00 am. and 8:00 a.m.
BVI Nationals and Permanent Residents registering to return to the Territory are reminded to use valid email addresses as part of the registration process in order to receive communication related to their travel requirements.
The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) has received a new Cepheid GeneXpert machine and cartridges/tests from the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office that will enhance the Territory’s ability to carry out COVID-19 testing.
Persons who wish to have their homes or other properties inspected for the purpose of accommodating persons who are expected to return home as part of their 14-day mandatory quarantine requirement are invited to call the Government’s Customer at (284) 494-3701 and provide details of the property.

Businesses and establishments allowed to operate during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. are reminded to adhere to the health, social distancing and safety protocols as prescribed in the Public Health (COVID-19 Control and Suppression Measures) (No. 2) Order, 2020.
Entertainment and accommodation facilities are among those businesses to remain temporarily closed in accordance with the Curfew Act, 2017, Imposition of a Curfew (No.17) Order, 2020.
As the Premier announced, we are about to enter a new chapter of the Territorial Re-opening process where passenger aircraft will be permitted to land at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport to facilitate the re-entry of BVI nationals and permanent residents during the first phase.
