On Monday, 3rd October, the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports received a report from the Alexandrina Maduro Primary School that a significant number of students were absent. The students were reportedly feeling unwell. Out of great concern, the Ministry immediately contacted the Ministry of Health to assess the situation.

In June of this year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports arranged for a structural analysis to be conducted on the Althea Scatliffe Primary School building.

The Government of the British Virgin Islands (GOVI) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to US$65,291,000 towards the cost of the CDB No. 12/SRF-OR-BVI: Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Loan – Hurricane Irma Project (the Project) and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under a contract for which this invitation is issued.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has taken a wholistic approach to the Redevelopment of the Elmore Stoutt High School campus and invites the public to a stakeholder consultation to present the way forward.
The public is informed that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture is open to receive applications for registration for the 2022-2023 academic school year.
The public is advised of the following special dates in December for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture and public schools.
