Parents and guardians of students in the public school system are being reminded that all public schools except for Elmore Stoutt High School will reopen for face-to-face learning on Monday September 6.
The public is reminded that appointments are to be made before visiting the offices of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the E.A Creque Building on Upper Main Street, and on the 3rd Floor of Ward’s Building.
The public is notified that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture will be accepting appointments for the payment and distribution of Grades 7 to 9 Digital Textbooks and the Device Loan Programme from Monday, August 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for public schools on Tortola.
The public is advised of the following special dates for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture and public schools.

Parents and guardians of public primary and secondary students with loaners of Chromebooks and Laptops are asked to return the devices to the Ministry of Education, 3rd Floor Ward’s Building. Collection will be conducted from Thursday, August 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
I greet you at a difficult time in our Territory. Covid-19 has spread throughout our Virgin Islands and has robbed us of many of those we love. My Ministry is no exception. Several of the hardworking and dedicated public servants under the Ministry have been affected by this vicious pandemic, and I take this opportunity to offer sincere condolences to those within the Ministry, the wider education system and the wider Virgin Islands who are coping with the loss of loved ones.
