The public is notified that the James Walter Francis Drive, Waterfront Drive, and Sir Francis Drake Highway between the BVI Ports Authority in Port Purcell and BVIEC Power Station in Pockwood Pond will be closed.

The public is notified that the scheduled road closures on Tuesday, August 23 and Thursday, August 25 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. to facilitate the transportation of the new Wartsila generators, has been postponed until further notice.

The public is advised that road works taking place in the Brewer’s Bay area will result in a one lane road passageway commencing Tuesday, June 28 at 7:00 a.m. 

Madam Speaker, the objective set out by the Ministry of Communications and Works spearheaded by the Public Works Department, is to upgrade and improve the existing road network to allow for better use by Motorists and pedestrians. This ensures improved safety to international standards for all users and newly upgraded roads should have a lifespan for of 15 to 20 years.

Several infrastructural projects are under construction simultaneously throughout the Territory to enhance the road network.

The Office of the City Manager is requesting that owners remove vehicles parked in the lot adjacent the Sugar Works in John’s Hole by Thursday, June 23.
