The Premier’s Office is the lead ministry in the Virgin Island’s Public Service and is charged with coordinating and monitoring the development and implementation of the Government’s legislative agenda across Ministries and Statutory Boards. The ministry also provides policy advice to the Premier and Cabinet on matters falling within the Premier’s responsibilities including physical development planning and control, international relations, trade, consumer protection, immigration, maritime administration, public relations, communications, and cross government policy issues. The Premier’s Office, is made up of several departments, each with its own unique focus, and has a number of strategic themes that encompass the Premier’s portfolio. We refer to these themes as business line themes. They are also called key results areas. In addition to the business line themes, there are an internally focused strategic issue that cut across departments and emphasizes the organisation’s capacity to deliver results in each of the business line and cross-cutting themes.
