The Department of Water and Sewerage implements operational changes, as a result of the phased reopening of the public service, that go into effect on Monday, May 4.
Director of the Water and Sewerage Department, Mrs. Perline Scatliffe-Leonard said, “Effective Monday, May 4 all queries or concerns regarding sewerage and water accounts can be sent via email to email@example.com or by telephone to 468-5834,on Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 468-9530 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
The Director encouraged customers to make payments by way of credit/debit cards. To pay using a credit/debit card, email payment information to firstname.lastname@example.org. Customers using this form of payment are advised that invoices and receipts will be emailed. For payments being made by cheque, drop boxes will be available at designated areas at the Baugher’s Bay office. Payments being made by cash can be done from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
“Health and Safety measures in this ‘New Regular' will be maintained, and patrons are reminded No Mask, No Service,” Mrs. Scatliffe-Leonard said.
The Water and Sewerage Department seeks to ensure the provision of potable water and an environmentally sound sewage disposal service to all residents of the Virgin Islands, efficiently and at affordable rates.
