The Government of Jamaica has officially appointed Mr. Paul Dennis, KC, as its Honorary Consul to the British Virgin Islands (BVI). Mr. Dennis, Senior Partner of the local law firm O’Neal Webster and a Jamaican national residing in the Territory for the past thirty-two years, paid a courtesy call on Honourable Dr. Natalio Wheatley, Premier of the Virgin Islands, during which time he formally presented his credentials and discussed areas of potential cooperation between the two Caribbean neighbours.

Twenty-Five (25) Human Resources professionals throughout the Public Service have begun a Certification Programme with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) through the Virgin Islands Public Service Learning Institute.
New Centenarian Mrs. Esmie Estene Turnbull-Stoutt is the first Virgin Islander to receive the Government’s newly enhanced Centenarian Grant of $10,000 having reached the age of 100.
