Residents of the Virgin Gorda community are notified that Minister for Education and Culture, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn will hold office hours on the sister island on Tuesday, July 11.

A book, illustrating the life of a typical Virgin Islander during the early 1900’s, will be launched on Thursday, July 13.  

Welcome to the official launch of Festival 2017. The Virgin Islands will commemorate 63 years of Emancipation Celebrations under the theme “A Colourful Kaleidoscope to be seen, Creating a Cultural Scene for Festival 2017”.

I am pleased and honoured to join you, my fellow BVIslanders and residents in this annual celebration of Territory Day under the theme:  Territorial Awakening: Resilience in a Time of Challenge and Change.”   

The public is informed that the 2017 Territory Day celebrations have been relocated to the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall due to the inclement weather.

The public is invited to attend the annual Fisherman’s Day activities at Long Bay Beach, Beef Island, scheduled for Friday, June 30.

The annual fishing tournament starts at 4:00 a.m. From 10:00 a.m. onwards there will be several activities and events for all ages, including the judging of the fishing tournament, solider crab races and free health screening. Food vendors will be present and entertainment will be provided by local DJs and Showtime Band.
