Supervisor of Elections, Ms. Juliette Penn said that the process was a lengthy one and encountered some challenges along the way but all the persons involved in the process executed their duties with integrity and in a transparent manner.
This is an increase of 232 votes from the last election where a total of 654 ballots were cast. The polls opened from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at nine stations in the Territory.

The Ministry of Education and Culture is advising the public that all public primary schools will be closed on Monday, June 8 as the majority of them will be used as polling stations on Election Day.
The Office of the Supervisor of Elections is informing the public that while 22 polling stations will be in use on Election Day, there are 10 counting stations to tally the votes.
In May 2015 the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association British Islands and Mediterranean Region (CPA BIMR) were officially invited by The Governor, His Excellency John S. Duncan OBE to deploy an Election Observation Mission to the Virgin Islands (UK) to observe the June general elections. This invitation was supported by the Government and the official Opposition.
The public is informed that the revised voters list is available online at www.bvi.gov.vg. Locate the Government tab on the left side of the screen. A drop down list will appear. Scroll down to the Elections tab and select the 2015 Revised Voter’s List.
