The public is notified that in accordance with the Elections Act, 1994:  “No person shall furnish or supply any loudspeaker, bunting, ensign, banner, standard or set of colours, or any other flag to any person with intent that it shall be carried, worn or used on motor cars, trucks or other vehicles, as political propaganda on polling day.

Employers are reminded that in accordance with Section 65 (1) of the Elections Act, 1994:  “Every employer shall on polling day, allow to every voter in his employ a reasonable period for voting.....

The public is reminded that in accordance with Section 64 (1) of the Elections Act, 1994:  “No intoxicating liquor shall be sold, offered for sale, or given away at any premises......

Supervisor of Elections Ms. Juliette Penn is reminding the public of Election Offences laid out in Elections Act, 1994 pertaining to the sale of alcohol and employees being given ample time to vote on Election Day.

Seventeen polling stations will be in use on Election Day to service the 14,939 registered voters in the Territory.

The Office of the Supervisor of Elections Office is reminding the public that Advance Polling will be held on Thursday, February 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Election Observation Mission has begun their official tour of duty as observers for the February 25 General Election.

Parents, teachers and students are notified that all public Primary and Secondary Schools will be closed on Polling Day Monday, February 25.

Deputy Governor Mr. David D. Archer Jr. is reminding political candidates and their supporters of the Code of Conduct for Political Parties and Candidates governing general elections.

Forty-one candidates will be contesting the upcoming General Election in the Virgin Islands on February 25.
