A fire which occurred at about 5:00 a.m. this morning at the Henry Wilfred “Freddie” Smith Power Station in Pockwood Pond was successfully extinguished.

The public is advised that a fire at the Pockwood Pond Power Station caused by a burnt switchgear has been extinguished

Two years after the ground breaking ceremony for the Phase V Power Development Programme, the British Virgin Islands now has an increased electricity supply of 57.5 megawatts (MW) to serve the current 34 MW demand of the Territory.
