Businesses in the Virgin Islands are now more equipped with knowledge on health and safety and what it means to be compliant with the Labour Code, 2010.

Effective January 1, 2019, the Labour Department will no longer be accepting job vacancy advertisements that fail to satisfy its requirements. 

Employers and media outlets (i.e. online and printed) are reminded of the proper way to advertise job vacancies.

The Government of the Virgin Islands continues to promote workplace health and safety and is reminding the private sector of its statutory obligation under Part IX of the Labour Code, 2010 – Health Safety & Welfare.
