Recently appointed Acting Financial Secretary Jeremiah Frett has suggested that the Government of the Virgin Islands implements a two-tier revenue committee and special expenditure committee in support of its goal of diversifying the BVI economy and developing new industry opportunities.

Long-time staffer at the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) Mr. Jasen Penn has been appointed to act as the department’s Director effective January 1.
Greetings to the people of the Virgin Islands, and especially my Second District community. It is that time of year again where we reflect on all the blessings that God has bestowed upon us.
For here, we all are, yet again, to celebrate the advent season. The season where God sent His only begotten son Jesus on this earth to teach us in the ways Lord and to remind us of two commandments: Love the Lord Our God with all our hearts, soul, and mind and to love our neighbours and we do ourselves.
