i.    Tender Notice is advertised in the local newspapers, radio and on-line (2-3 weeks)

ii.   Persons interested in are required to pay the stated fee by cash, money order or bank draft and thereafter tender documents are issued.

iii.  A public meeting of all tenders is convened by the Central Tenders Board on the date specified in the Tender Notice to open received tenders.

iv.  The Central Tenders Board Sub-Committee reviews the bids and formulates an Evaluation Report.

v.   The Central Tenders Board discusses the Evaluation Report and makes a recommendation.

vi.  The Minister of Finance submits the recommendation to Cabinet.

vii. The successful and unsuccessful tenders are informed in writing.

viii.The Ministry/Department prepares and organises the signing of the contract with the successful tenderer.

The Projects Unit (PU) of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) is responsible for the planning and management of the RRL. The unit is headed by the Director of Projects, who acts as the Project Coordinator for the RRL and reports to the Financial Secretary (FS), Ministry of Finance.

The RRL is being implemented in collaboration with various ministries (Office of the Deputy Governor, Premier's Office, Ministries of Natural Resources & Labour, Communications & Works, Education & Culture and Health & Social Development) and departments (Department of Disaster Management, Town and Country Planning Department) and the Recovery and Development Agency. 

A Project Steering Committee has been established to facilitate the involvement and oversight of the major stakeholders of the RRL. In addition to the Project Steering Committee, Project Coordination Committees (PCC) have been created to facilitate collaboration between the technical teams of the different ministries involved in the RRL projects. 

In support of the Projects Unit, and per an agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) signed in April 2018, an Implementation Support Team (IST) tasked with supporting the Projects Unit with the implementation of the RRL has been established. The UNDP IST provides project management, procurement, strategic sourcing support, financial management and other technical expertise. Furthermore, UNDP supports government capacity development related to international best practices on procurement principles, project management, monitoring and evaluation, communications and gender.

Sharing your User ID or Password with another person is strongly discouraged. The reason being, you will be solely responsible for any action that person takes, if he/she signs in using your username and password.

If you are out of office and your colleague requires access to anything that you were dealing with, the correct procedure to be followed is that your Head of Department should complete the System Access form for that employee, identifying the areas or systems access that the person requires to carry on the work.

Yes, B.V.I. Post does offer our customers the option of insuring a parcel when posting.  The maximum declared value of a parcel cannot exceed $200.00.  Also please note not all postal destinations honor the declared value of a parcel. Please inquire with a customer service representative at the time of postage if the postal operator of the destination country will honor the insured value of the parcel.

There are several options that can be reviewed until replacement equipment become available. As an option, if there are computers vacant within your office due to an officer being on leave, you can make use of that system resource as long as it is available. As an alternative, if loaner equipment maintained by DoIT is available, it can be assigned to you while your system is out for repairs. In the event that resource is also unavailable, other arrangements will be made between your department and DoIT, to ensure that productivity is not lost.

When renovating or relocating your office, written notice should be sent to the Director, at least 2 months prior. 
Upon receipt of the Notice, DoIT technicians will be deployed to conduct assessment of the new location for various factors critical for the resumption of computer services.
Prior to the established Moving Day, your staff are to label system component by User, and carefully disconnect all computer equipment.  
Notify the Department of IT, by phone or email, of the Move Day and you may proceed to move and transport the disconnected equipment.
When the move is complete, DoIT technicians will be deployed to reassemble and connect the computer equipment to the network.
